L. Lens , 2001
Louis Lens' hybridization between Trier and Rosa chinensis 'Mutabilis' are innovative in the rose family. The results of this hybridization are Plaisanterie, Apricot Bells and the new rose Patricia Beucher. It's a shrub with single flowers (5 cm across) with a special dark pinkish violet colour, fading to cream if the weather is hotter. The flowers grow in clusters, some are small; but a rooted plant develops elongate, pyramid-shaped clusters of more than 50 flowers. The shrub reaches 150-200 cm, is strong-growing and healthy. The new young shoots are remarkable, they are reddish brown, identical to the shoots of Rosa chinensis 'Mutabilis'. Later on, the leaf colours to dark green. The shrub has an upright growth and has slightly overhanging stems.
