Tagetes patula, zaad (150g/10m²)
Ideal as a preliminary crop for roses, where you want to replace roses that have been growing for more than 10 years. Tagetes destroys the rose nematode (Pratylenchus penetrans) and is an excellent green manure.
15g/m², sow very superficially
Tagetes patula is best sown starting on May 15th, after the Ice Saints. It's best sown in rows with 25 cm spacing between rows. After 100 days or more, you can finely chop the remaining plants and dig them into the top 20 cm of soil so they can continue to decompose.
It's very important to keep the bed weed-free during the marigold's growth until the crop is dense.
Tagetes destroys the rose nematode (Pratylenchus penetrans) and is an excellent green manure.
15g/m², sow very shallowly.
